The toy cocker spaniel’s appearance is very cute. The hindquarters feature wide hips and muscular thighs. The feet are large, body is stout but muscular. Their head is similar to those of other dogs and eyes are dark colored and in almond shape that shows their alertness and curiosity. The ears are long and “flop” down. The eyebrows are thick with broad square shaped, muzzle and jaws are even. The upper lip hangs beyond the lower jaw and is tight to mouth.Their nose is dark in color for those with dark coat and light brown colored for those with light coat. Their coat is silky, shiny and wavy.

They hair grows in abundantly which requires regular grooming. Proper shampooing and combs, and possibly hair clips recommended. The colors of the coat are available in ranges of colors such as: solid black, other solid colors from light cream to red, parti-color including black and white, red and white, brown and white or roans.
