This breed is very specific for pet and good going with children. They are the cousins of Sussex, Springer, Field and toy spaniels they originated from Spain but developed in England. Initially they were used as hunting dogs and were classified based on their size. Based on the method of hunting they were further grouped and it particularly hunted woodcock. They are now considered as a sporting dog by AKC even though they are most exclusive breed as companions and show dogs.

They are small 15 inches at the withers, with a medium length, double coat long pendulous ears with shaking tails. Females are slightly smaller than males.
