Cockers are very cute pets. They are very beautiful and extremely intelligent. They easily learn when trained properly. They love to be with children and they are friendly cheerful dogs which are very loyal to their family members.

Care should be taken to such a loyal companion. They should be placed in a safe crate they does not cause harm in any ways if it tries to get out of it. We should block all exits and unsafe areas for few weeks so that it learns to live in the new environment. As they have very dense hair they should be taken proper care by regular grooming and shampooing. Proper brushes and clips should be used to maintain it. Regular hair cut should be done so that they do not get tangled.

Taking care of puppies is similar to that of taking care of babies. They easily get bored and depressed if no proper attention is given. We should use toys and other chewing toys to keep them well engaged and busy with toys. They love playing with children and make many funny things that cheer us.

It may suffer from some health problems as it grows old. Problems such as cataracts, glaucoma and patellar luxation are major problems, while minor ones are hip dysplasia, ectropion, entropion, allergies and many more. Taking proper care can help them to lead a healthy life. They should not be left alone as they are fond of love, being with them is a real fun.
